Sing Me A Melody

by Elllis Hall III

/

about

This is one of my earliest creations. I was at a creative influx and this simple song with new style production design was the outcome. It features clavichord piano with rhodes overlaying a reggae/hip-hop type drum pattern. Sequenced with contemporary sounds while the lyrics and melody suggest a more conservative poetic approach.

lyrics

Here we are, on the verge of love
We've come so far
Just think way back to when we started this
You couldn't even grant me a simple kiss
Now's the day, for you to show me in a special way
To show me just how much you care for me
Oh, won't you sing me a melody

Won't you sing me, (A melody, melody)
Won't you sing me, (A melody, melody)
For this heart of mine
Won't you sing me, (A melody)

Oh my dear, won't you sing me a line that's so sincere
Oh please don't make this hard for me
Won't you sing me a melody

Won't you sing me, (A melody, melody)
Won't you sing me, (A melody, melody)
For this heart of mine
Won't you sing me, (A melody)
